Wanted: old regulation four riggers
Asking the impossible – we are restoring a 1966-67 George Towns NSW regulation four that holds significant local importance but we do not have the riggers for it. We are hoping someone has a set hiding at the back of a shed, in the roof or under a building somewhere. The original riggers were stainless steel with a light C-section strengthening rib as shown in the black and white photo. Towns were also using painted steel riggers in this era as shown in the other photo – these would also suit this boat. The diagonal brace on these riggers is angled towards the bow. This is probably a long shot but we hope there is a set lying around somewhere.
If you have suitable riggers, or have any leads on where we could source them please contact Rob Bruce on rf24@graftonrowing.asn.au
